Oatmeal Chocolate Chippers Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups packed brown sugar
1 cup shortening
2 eggs
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 3/4 cups rye flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
3 cups quickcooking rolled oats
1 cup chocolate chips
Directions
Cream the brown sugar, shortening, eggs, and vanilla in the Bosch bowl.
Add flour, baking soda, and salt.
Blend well.
Stir in rolled oats and chocolate chips.
Drop by spoonfuls onto greased baking sheets.
Bake in a 350° F.
Oven for 8 to 10 minutes.
Cool before removing from pan.
NOTE: Nuts, raisins, carob chips, butterscotch chips, coconut, and/or dried fruit may be substituted for the chocolate chips.
Whole wheat flour may be used in place of the rye flour.
