Add shortening, brown sugar, eggs and half the milk.
Beat for about 2 minutes or until smooth.
Fold in remaining milk, chocolate chips, oatmeal and walnuts.
Drop from teaspoon onto greased cookie sheet.
Bake in 375-degree oven for 12 to 15 minutes.
