Oatmeal Raisin Scones Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Brown sugar | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Ground cinnamon | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Margarine | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup quick-cooking rolled oats | ||
| Raisins | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Egg whites | 2 | |
| Skim milk | 2 Tablespoon | |
Directions
Stir together flour, sugar, baking powder, and cinnamon.
Cut in margarine till mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Stir in oats and raisins.
Add egg whites and 2 tablespoons milk; mix well (dough will be sticky).
On a lightly floured surface roll or pat dough into a 7-inch circle.
Cut into 12 wedges, dipping knife into flour as needed to prevent sticking.
Place on an ungreased baking sheet, then brush tops lightly with more milk.
Bake in a 400° oven for 10 to 12 minutes or till golden.
