 3 cups Elam's Scotch Style Oatmeal
 Sugar3 Tablespoon
 Baking powder3 Teaspoon
 Salt3/4 Teaspoon
 Milk1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs)
 Egg1 , beaten
 3 Tbs. cooking oil or melted shortening

Directions

Combine first 4 ingredients in bowl; mix.
Combine milk, egg and oil or melted shortening; beat slightly.
Add liquids to dry ingredients; stir just until dry ingredients are moistened.
Fill greased muffin cups (2 1/2 x 1 1/4 inches) about 7/8 full using an equal amount of batter in each cup.
Bake in hot oven (425°F.) until done and lightly browned, 20-25 minutes.
