Oatmeal Drop Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| 1/2 cup soft butter or margarine | ||
| Sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg | 1 | |
| All purpose flour | 1 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1/2 teaspoon each of salt and baking soda | ||
| Ground cinnamon | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
| 1/2 teaspoon each of ground cloves and allspice | ||
| 1 3/4 cups quick-cooking rolled oats | ||
| Raisins | 2/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Nuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Milk | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
Directions
Cream butter until light and fluffy.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Add egg and beat until light.
Sift flour with salt, baking soda, and spices; add oats, raisins, and nuts.
Add to first mixture alternately with milk and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for about 15 minutes.
