Oatmeal Butter Cookies Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Cup (16 tbs), softened | |
| Powdered sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted | |
| Vanilla extract | 2 Teaspoon | |
| All purpose flour | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 cup oats, quick-cooking or regular, uncooked | ||
| Chocolate shot | ||
Directions
Cream the butter until light and fluffy.
Beat in the powdered sugar and vanilla.
Beat flour into the creamed mixture.
Stir in oats; mix until well blended.
Divide dough in half: shape each half into a bar, about 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Roll each bar in chocolate shot to coat sides.
Wrap in waxed paper or clear plastic film and chill until firm.
When ready to bake, cut bars into 1/4 inch slices.
Place on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
