Oatmeal Biscuits Recipe
Ingredients
| Whole-wheat flour | 6 Ounce | |
| Oatmeal | 2 Ounce | |
| Butter/Margarine | 4 Ounce | |
| Soft brown sugar | 4 Teaspoon | |
| Baking powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Hot curry powder - 1/4 teaspoon | ||
| Milk | 1 Tablespoon | |
Directions
GETTING READY
1 Preheat the oven.
MAKING
2 In a bowl, combine all the ingredients, except the milk.
3 Gently rub the fat evenly into the ingredients.
4 Add in just enough milk for a slightly wetter dough than you would require normally;this will prevent it from breaking.
5 Turn the dough out onto a floured working surface and roll out to about 1/8 inch (3 mm) thick.
6 Use a 2 3/4 inch (7 cm) cutter to cut out the biscuit rounds.
7 Re-roll the trimmings and add a drop of milk if the dough is a little dry.
8 Arrange the biscuits on the baking sheet.
9 Bake them for 15-20 minutes until firm and lightly browned.
10 Allow them to cool on the baking sheet for 5 minutes.
11 Transfer them to a wire rack to cool.
SERVING
12 Serve as desired.
13 Store in an airtight tin.
