Oat Crunchies Recipe
Ingredients
| 100 g / 4 oz rolled oats | ||
| 50 g / 2 oz medium oatmeal | ||
| 150 g / 5 oz soft brown sugar | ||
| 120 ml / 4 fl oz vegetable oil | ||
| Egg | 1 | |
| Almond essence | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Place the oats, oatmeal, sugar and oil in a bowl, mix well and leave to stand for 1 hour.
Add the egg and almond essence and beat together thoroughly.
Place teaspoonfuls of the mixture well apart on a greased baking tray and press flat with a damp fork.
Bake in a preheated oven for 15-20 minutes until golden brown.
Leave to cool for 2 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely.
