Nutty Cereal Snack Recipe
Ingredients
| 3 cups bite-size crispy corn cereal squares | ||
| Unsalted roasted peanuts | 1/3 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| 1 1/2 tablespoons reduced-calorie margarine | ||
| Creamy peanut butter | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Vegetable cooking spray | ||
Directions
Combine cereal and peanuts in a large bowl; set mixture aside.
Combine margarine and peanut butter in a small saucepan.
Cook over low heat until mixture melts, stirring frequently.
Pour peanut butter mixture over cereal mixture; tossing gently to coat.
Spread cereal mixture in a single layer in a 15-x 10-x 1-inch jelly-roll pan coated with cooking spray.
Bake at 200° for 20 minutes, stirring once.
Turn oven off, and leave cereal mixture in oven 1 hour.
Remove from oven, and spread on wax paper.
Cool completely.
Store in an airtight container.
