Nutmeg Feather Cake Recipe
Ingredients
1/2 tsp. vanilla
3 beaten eggs
1/4 c. butter
2 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
2 tsp. Nutmeg
Confectioners' sugar
Directions
Cream butter and shortening; add sugar gradually, creaming until light.
Add vanilla and eggs; beat until light and fluffy.
Sift dry ingredients together; add to creamed mixture alternately with buttermilk, beat- ing well after each addition.
Pour into greased 13x9 x 2-inch pan.
Bake in 350-degree oven for 35 to 40 minutes or until cake tests done.
Sift confectioners' sugar over cake.
