Ingredients

 
1 c. blanched almonds
 
1 c. butter
 
1/2 c. sugar
 
1 tsp. vanilla
 
2 c. all-purpose flour
 
1/2 c. confectioners' sugar
 
2 tsp. Nutmeg

Directions

Grind almonds coarsely with food grinder.
Cream butter and sugar thoroughly; blend in ground almonds and vanilla.
Work in flour.
Shape into small 1 1/2-inch balls; chill.
Place on greased baking sheet.
Bake in 300-degree oven for 15 to 20 minutes or until light golden brown.
Combine confectioners' sugar and nutmeg.
Roll cookies in sugar mixture while still warm.
