Nutmeg Butterballs Recipe

Ingredients
Blanched almonds - 1 1/3 cups
Butter or margarine - 1 cup
Sugar - 1/2 cup
Vanilla - 1 teaspoon
Sifted flour - 2 cups
Confectioners' sugar - 1/2 cup
Nutmeg - 2 teaspoons
Directions
GETTING READY
1) Crush almonds through the coarse blade of a food chopper.
2) Grease baking sheets.
MAKING
3) In a bowl, add together the butter and sugar and cream till light and fluffy.
4) Blend in the almonds and vanilla.
5) Add in the flour and mix well.
6) Refrigerate the dough well.
7) Shape into walnut-sized balls.
8) Arrange on a baking sheet.
9) Place in the oven at 300° F for 15 to 20 minutes, till lightly browned.
10) Combine the confectioners' sugar and nutmeg.
11) While the cookies are hot, coat with the nutmeg mix.
12) Cool.
