 Water1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Butter/Margarine1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 2 tablespoons rum or brandy; or 1 teaspoon vanilla

Directions

In 2-cup measure, combine sugar, cornstarch and nutmeg; stir in water and butter.
Cook, uncovered, 3 minutes or until mixture boils and thickens, stirring occasionally.
Stir in flavoring.
