Nutmeg Date Bars Recipe
Ingredients
| Pitted dates package | 1 | |
| Pecans and walnuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Sifted confectioners' sugar | ||
| Eggs | 2 Small, beaten | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Cooking oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| All purpose flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Ground nutmeg | 3/4 Teaspoon | |
Directions
Force dates and nuts through food chopper, using medium blade.
Add 1 cup confectioners' sugar, eggs, and salt; mix well.
Add remaining ingredients and mix thoroughly.
Spread in greased 9-inch square pan.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for about 30 minutes.
Cool partially, cut into 18 bars and roll in confectioners' sugar.
Add 1 cup confectioners' sugar, eggs, and salt; mix well.
