Directions

Sift flour, baking powder, sugar and salt into mixing bowl.
Add nuts.
Combine egg, milk and shortening.
Make well in dry ingredients, and add egg mixture.
Stir quickly until flour is absorbed.
Scrape into greased 9" x 5" x 3" loaf pan, and bake 50—60 minutes at 350°F.
Makes 1 loaf.
