Nut Glazed Ham Recipe
Ingredients
| 1 tenderized ready-to-eat ham (10 to 12 lbs) | ||
| Ground cloves | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Honey | 1/2 | |
| Peanut butter | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Dry bread crumbs | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Whole pecans and Maraschino cherries | ||
Directions
Score the fat surface of the ham in large diamonds; or press a fancy cooky cutter into the fat to make a uniform pattern of hearts, stars or circles.
Sprinkle with the cloves, then spread with a mixture of honey, peanut butter and crumbs.
Place ham in large bake pan and heat slowly at 325F for 15 minutes per pound, or until a meat thermometer registers 130F internal temperature.
Heat may be increased to 350F for the last 1/2 hour to brown the glaze more quickly.
Press pecans and cherries into surface of ham here and there, according to the scored pattern.
Transfer to hot platter; garnish with water cress, pineapple slices.
