Homemade Nut Bread Recipe

| Pecans/Walnuts | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped |

Directions
Combine well-beaten egg and milk, and add all at once to dry ingredients, stirring quickly until flour is all dampened, but not until smooth.
Quickly fold in the nuts, just enough to distribute.
Turn into greased loaf pan (8 by 4 by 2 1/2 inches), pushing well into corners.
Bake in a slow oven (300° F.) 20 minutes, increase heat to moderate (375° F.), bake 25 to 30 minutes longer or until nicely browned.
Cool on rack.
Makes 1 loaf.
