Nougat Tarts Recipe
Simply yummy!!!! These two words come to the mind instantly when you taste this Nougat Tarts. Almond is one of the few ingredients I like to include in my daily cooking and this is my comfort recipe that I usually prepare using it. It is a Canadian delicacy, served as Dessert world-wide. Ingredients
1 tablespoon raspberry jam
1 egg-white
4 oz. sugar
2 oz. ground almonds
4 oz. coconut
1 tablespoon milk
Fw drops almond essence
Glace cherry quarters
1 dozen unbaked tartlet cases
Directions
Place a little jam into each pastry case.
Whisk egg-white stiffly, fold in all remaining ingredients, except cherries.
Place a teaspoon of mixture into each pastry case, top with a piece of glace cherry.
Bake in a moderate oven, Mark 4, 350°F., 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown.
