Northern Style Pancakes Recipe
Northern Style Pancakes! This is by far the best pancake recipe I have come across! This delicious pancake is perfect for a late brunch or even as a side dish for lunch or dinner once it is stuffed with meat or shrimp. Serve this delicious Northern Style Pancakes at home, I am sure you will love it!
Ingredients
1-1/2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 egg
1-2/3 cups cold water
1/4 cup chopped green onion
3 tablespoons vegetable oil
Directions
Mix flour and salt in a large bowl.
Add egg and half the cold water.
Stir with a large spoon in one direction 2 minutes.
Add remaining water and stir until lumps are dissolved.
Add green onion; mix well.
Heat a 10-inch skillet over medium heat 1 minute.
Add 1-1/2 teaspoons oil.
Heat 30 seconds.
Pour about 1/6 of the batter into skillet, tilting so bottom of skillet is evenly covered.
Cook 1 minute or until speckled with brown and edges are dry.
Carefully turn pancake with a spatula and cook about 30 seconds until speckled with brown.
Fold pancake in half, then in half again to keep warm.
