Northern Bean Soup Recipe
Ingredients
| Northern beans | 1 pound | |
| Ham | 1 pound | |
| Onions | 2 Medium, chopped | |
| Green pepper - Half, chopped | ||
| Celery | 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Tomatoes - 16-ounce can, diced | ||
| Carrots | 4 | |
| Green chili peppers | 4 Can (10oz) | |
| Garlic powder | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Water | 2 Quart | |
| Salt | 3 Teaspoon | |
Directions
MAKING
1. To prepare beans, wash them, cover with water and soak overnight.
2. Then drain and pour into slow cooker.
3. Dicing ham into 1-inch pieces add to beans.
4. Stir in remaining ingredients and cook with cover on High for 2 hours and then on Low 10-12 hours such that beans are tender.
SERVING
5. Serve as desired.
