Newburg Style Crab Recipe
Ingredients
| Butter/Margarine | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Salt | 1/4 Teaspoon | |
| Skim milk | 1 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Egg yolks | 2 , beaten | |
| 1 6-ounce package frozen crab meat, thawed | ||
| Frozen peas | 1/2 Ounce, cooked, drained | |
| Dry white wine | 3 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice | 2 Teaspoon | |
| 6 Whole Wheat Biscuit Crackers | ||
Directions
Melt butter or margarine; stir in cornstarch and salt.
Add milk all at once.
Cook and stir till bubbly, Cook and stir 2 minutes more.
Stir half of the hot mixture into yolks.
Return to hot mixture in saucepan.
Cook and stir till bubbly, Add crab and peas; heat through.
Stir in wine and lemon juice.
Add milk all at once.
