New Year’s Apricot Honey Glazed Ham Recipe

Baked ham is a wonderful holiday dinner staple, but why stick to the same recipe year after year? Turn up the volume and impress your guests with this delicious smoked ham coated with a delicious, sweet apricot honey glaze.

 Spiral ham1 Pound, smoked
 Honey1 Cup (16 tbs)
 One 6 ounce can orange juice concentrate, thawed
 Dark soy sauce1/4 Cup (16 tbs)
 Apricot jam1/3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Nutmeg1/2 Teaspoon
 Cloves1/4 Teaspoon

Directions

Preheat the oven to 325 degrees.
Prepare the glaze: Mix honey, orange juice, soy sauce, apricot jam, nutmeg and cloves in a bowl.
Bake the ham: Place ham, fat side up, on a rack in a baking pan. Spoon apricot glaze over the ham. Bake the ham in a preheated oven, basting with drippings every 20 minutes. Bake 2 to 2-1/2 hours. Slice the ham and drizzle a little glaze over the slices. Serves 15.

Note: The glaze for the ham can be quite sweet. To reduce its sweetness, use less orange juice concentrate.
