Ingredients

 
Unsweetened lime Kool-Aid - 1 package (I used lemon-lime flavor in the demonstration, but lime is better.)
 
Sugar - 1 cup (I used 1 cup Stevia. You may use any artificial sweetener that has the sweetness of 1 cup sugar.)
 
Water - 1/3 cup
 
Lime sherbet - 2 scoops per drink
 
Champagne or substitute- as much as desired (I used club soda, but other choices include ginger ale, 7-Up, Sprite, and other light colored carbonated beverages.)
 
Red or green stemmed maraschino cherries - for garnish

Directions

MAKING
1. In a small bowl or measuring cup, mix 1 package lime Kool-Aid with 1 cup sugar.
2. Add 1/3 cup water and mix well.
3. Allow it to chill.

SERVING
4. Place 2 scoops lime sherbet in each of the stemmed glasses.
5. Gently pour champagne (or substitute) into the glass to desired level.
6. Spoon about a tablespoon of the Kool-Aid mixture over the top.
7. Garnish with stemmed red or green maraschino cherries.
8. Serve immediately!
