New Mexican Hamburgers Recipe
Ingredients
| Ground beef | 1 pound | |
| Generous dash of black pepper | ||
| 1 teaspoon ground pure red chile | ||
| Egg | 1 , beaten | |
| 1/2 medium-size onion, finely chopped | ||
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), crushed | |
| 1/2 teaspoon salt dash of Tabasco | ||
| Green chile | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Monterey jack cheese slice | 4 | |
| 4 sesame hamburger buns | ||
| Butter | ||
| Basil or tarragon | ||
Directions
1 Mix the beef with the next 8 ingredients. Shape into 4 flat patties. Broil in an oven or over charcoal to desired doneness.
2 Just before serving the burgers, melt a slice of cheese on top. Butter the buns and sprinkle with crushed tarragon or basil. Toast until lightly browned.
