New Hampshire Turnover Apple Pie Recipe

Roll out pastry.
Fit over top of apples and trim edge.
Bake in preheated hot oven (425°F.) for 25 minutes, or until apples are soft.
Remove from oven and turn upside down on warm serving plate.
Lift up pie pan.
Scrape out apples remaining in crust and mix with apples left in pan; mash with spoon.
Add 1/2 cup sugar, 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, and 1 tablespoon butter.
Spread apple mixture on crust; dot with remaining butter.
Sprinkle with sugar and cinnamon.
Put in warm place until butter is melted.
