Hearty New England Clam Chowder Recipe
Ingredients
| Bacon Slices | 3 , chopped | |
| Minced | 3 Can (10oz) | |
| Potatoes | 2 Cup (16 tbs), peeled | |
| Onion | 1 Medium, chopped | |
| Flour | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Milk | 2 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Light cream | 3/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Salt | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Pepper | 1/8 Teaspoon |
Directions
Place chopped bacon in 2-quart casserole.
MICROWAVE 2 MINUTES on HIGH.
Drain clam liquid into bacon and drippings.
Set clams aside.
Stir in potatoes and onion.
Cover.
MICROWAVE 8 MINUTES on HIGH, or until vegetables are tender.
Blend in flour until smooth.
Stir in milk.
Cover.
MICROWAVE 3 MINUTES on '8'.
Stir in clams, cream, salt and pepper.
Do not cover.
MICROWAVE 3 MINUTES on '8', or until piping hot.
MICROWAVE 2 MINUTES on HIGH.
