2 c. sifted flour
 
3 tsp baking powder
 
1/2 tsp. salt
 
1 tbsp. shortening
 
Meat stock or chicken broth

Directions

Sift flour with baking powder and salt; cut in short- ening.
Add milk to make a drop batter.
Drop by spoonfuls into boiling stock.
Simmer, covered tightly, for 10 minutes.
Serve at once.
