2 cups white sugar
1/2 cup water
3 Tbsp. light corn syrup
Food coloring (optl.)
1 cup chopped walnuts or pecans
Directions
With mixer beat egg whites until stiff; set aside.
In 4-cup glass measure combine sugar, water and corn syrup.
Microwave (high) 7-9 minutes to 236°F. (soft ball), stirring once or twice.
Remove 1/3 cup of this syrup; add slowly to egg whites, beating continuously at medium speed.
