Ingredients

 Custard1 , stirred
 1/4 cup Malaga or Marsala wine
 1/4 cup sultana raisins
 Currants1/4 Cup (16 tbs), dried
 2 tablespoons minced candied red cherries
 Candied orange peel2 Tablespoon, minced
 Citron2 Tablespoon, candied
 1/2 cup shelled, peeled chestnuts, boiled and drained
 Heavy cream1/2 Cup (16 tbs)

Directions

Prepare and cool custard as directed.
Meanwhile, pour wine over fruits and let stand 1 hour; also puree chestnuts.
Mix fruits and chestnuts into custard.
Whip cream to soft peaks and fold in.
Cover and chill 1/2 hour before serving.
