Nasi Goreng Recipe
Nasi Goreng is an Indonesian delicacy. Nasi Goreng gets its taste from chicken mixed with shrimp and rice, flavored with lemon juice. Nasi Goreng is inspired by many food chains around the world.
Ingredients
6 tablespoons oil
1 onion, chopped
1 large garlic clove, crushed
1 tablespoon curry powder
Salt.
Sugar
3/4 Ib. cooked chicken
2 tomatoes, peeled and sliced
3 cups cooked rice
1 cup cooked shrimp
1 tablespoon lemon juice

Directions
Heat oil in a skillet; add onion and garlic and saute about 3 minutes, stirring gently.
Blend in the curry; add salt and sugar to taste.
Cut the chicken into julienne strips; peel and slice tomatoes; add chicken and tomatoes to skillet and continue sauteeing several minutes.
Mix in the cooked rice and the shrimp.
Heat mixture to serving temperature and turn into a serving dish.
Sprinkle with lemon juice and garnish with fried onion rings.
Accompany Nasi Goreng with a variety of side dishes: tomato salad, bits of pineapple, shredded coconut, salted peanuts, marinated cucumber slices, fried banana slices, chopped hard cooked eggs, apple slices, tomato ketchup, chili sauce, soy sauce, mango and peach chutney and candied ginger.
