Mystery Fruit Cocktail Dessert Recipe
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| White sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Baking soda | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Salt | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Egg | 1 , beaten (Tropical fruit cocktail- 1 can (15 oz.)) | |
| Vanilla extract | 1/2 Teaspoon (Tropical fruit cocktail- 1 can (15 oz.)) | |
| Brown sugar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Tropical fruit cocktail- 1 can (15 oz.)) | |
| Nuts | 1/2 Cup (16 tbs), chopped (Tropical fruit cocktail- 1 can (15 oz.)) | |
| Butter for greasing | ||
| Nutmeg flavoured whipped cream for topping | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. In a medium sized bowl, combine brown sugar and chopped nuts. Mix well and keep aside.
2. Preheat an oven at 162.5C (325F).
3. Grease an 8 inch x 12 inch baking pan and keep aside.
MAKING
4. In a medium sized bowl, sieve flour, salt, soda and sugar.
5. Add remaining ingredients and mix well using a rubber spatula.
6. Transfer mixture on to greased pan and sprinkle brown sugar mixture evenly on top.
7. Bake in pre heated oven for 60 minutes.
8. Once baked, remove from oven and keep aside to cool.
SERVING
9. Cut in desired shape or squares, topp with nutmeg whipped cream and serve.
