My Special Ripe Cucumber Pickle Recipe
Ingredients
8 large ripe cucumbers
12 onions (medium)
Dressing:
2 tablespoons mustard
2 tablespoons tumeric
4 dessertspoons flour
2 dessertspoons white pepper
1 cup vinegar
Directions
Remove seeds from cucumbers, do not peel, and slice onions.
Put in brine of 1 cup salt to 2 quarts of water.
Let stand overnight.
In morning make following dressing: Mix, but do not cook.
Put onions and cucumbers in kettle with 4 cups brown sugar and enough vinegar to cover.
Stir in dressing when it begins to boil.
Then boil for 20 minutes.
