My Special Ripe Cucumber Pickle Recipe
Ingredients
| 8 large ripe cucumbers | ||
| 12 onions (medium) | ||
| Mustard | 2 Tablespoon (Dressing:) | |
| Tumeric | 2 Tablespoon (Dressing:) | |
| 4 dessertspoons flour | ||
| 2 dessertspoons white pepper | ||
| Vinegar | 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Dressing:) | |
Directions
Remove seeds from cucumbers, do not peel, and slice onions.
Put in brine of 1 cup salt to 2 quarts of water.
Let stand overnight.
In morning make following dressing: Mix, but do not cook.
Put onions and cucumbers in kettle with 4 cups brown sugar and enough vinegar to cover.
Stir in dressing when it begins to boil.
Then boil for 20 minutes.
