Mutton Tikka Recipe
Mutton tikka is a mincemeat preparation of mutton, the indian way! The mutton is rubbed with lemon juice and spices and marinated with a mix of curd, ginger, garlic and raw papaya. This recipe for mutton tikka can be cooked on the microwave and can be served with pulao or rice.
Ingredients
500 gms mutton chops
200 gms hung curd (lightly beaten)
100 gms raw papaya (grated)
1.5 tsp red chilli powder
1.5 tsp garam masala powder
Salt to taste
Juice of 1 lemon
1 tsp ginger paste
1 tsp garlic paste
Oil for brushing
50 gms onion (grated)
Directions
Wash the mutton chops and prick all over with a fork knife.
Rub the chops well with salt, red chilli powder, garam masala powder and lemon juice and keep aside for 30 minutes.
Mix the lightly beaten curd, ginger paste, garlic paste, grated raw papaya and grated onion.
Mix and add the mutton chops.
Cover and marinate the chops in the refrigerator for 3-4 hours.
Place the chops on the high rackfor 15 minutes to drain the excess marinate.
Brush with a little oil.
Microwave on combination- 2 for 4:30/5:30 minutes.
Turn the chops over half way through cooking time.
Brush again with a little oil and grill for 15-20 min.
Till brown on all sides.
Reposition the chops frequently.
Brush with oil 2-3 times for even cooking.
