Mutton With Turnips Recipe
Ingredients
| Mutton | 500 Gram (For 4) | |
| Onions | 115 Gram (For 4) | |
| Fat | 55 Gram (For 4) | |
| Turmeric | 1/2 Teaspoon (For 4) | |
| Red chillies | 5 Gram (For 4) | |
| Small turnips 225 gm. | ||
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm) (For 4) | |
| Ginger a small piece | ||
| Tomatoes | 115 Gram (For 4) | |
| Cumin powder | 1/4 Teaspoon (For 4) | |
| Salt | To Taste (For 4) | |
Directions
1. Clean and cut mutton into even sized pieces.
2. Peel and slice onions.
3. Heat fat; fry sliced onions; add mutton, turmeric, cumin and lightly bruised whole red chillies.
4. Fry the meat for 10-15 minutes, stirring all the time. Add turnips and stir.
5. Grind garlic and ginger and mix with blanched tomatoes. Add this to the meat.
6. Bring to boil, reduce flame, add salt and a very small quantity of warm water.
7. Cover and cook on very gentle heat till meat is tender. Add more water if necessary.
