Thick Mustard Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
1/4 cup butter or margarine
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
1 1/2 tablespoond dry mustard
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon liquid hot pepper sauce
2 cups half-and-half cream
1 egg yolk, beaten
Directions
Melt butter in saucepan.
Blend in flour, mustard, salt, and pepper sauce.
Gradually stir in half-and-half.
Cook until thickened; stir constantly.
Add a little hot sauce to egg yolk; add to remaining sauce, stirring constantly.
Heat until thickened.
