Mussels Marinara Recipe
Mussels marinara is one of the simplest Italian seafood recipe. Mussels are tossed in a tangy tomato and clam juice sauce to make perfect Gourmet Mussels Marinana. This delicious dish makes everybody licking their fingers, asking for more.
Ingredients
| 1 pound mussels, scrubbed and debearded | ||
| Olive oil | 1 Teaspoon | |
| Onions | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs), chopped | |
| Garlic | 2 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Tomatoes | 1 Can (10oz), chopped | |
| 1/3 cup white wine or clam juice | ||
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Parsley | 1 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| Oregano | 2 Teaspoon, chopped | |
Directions
In a large saucepan over medium heat, heat the oil and saute the onions and garlic for 1 minute, or until tender.
Add the tomatoes (with juice), wine or clam juice, lemon juice, parsley and oregano.
Add the mussels and cook until they have opened, about 10 minutes.
Discard any mussels that have not opened.
