Mushrooms A La King Recipe
Ingredients
| Mushrooms | 1 Pound | |
| Onion | 2 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| 5 tbs butter 75 mL | ||
| Flour | 4 Tablespoon | |
| Salt, pepper | ||
| Milk | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Chicken broth | 1 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Pimento | 3 Tablespoon, chopped | |
| 2 tbs each, pimento juice and dry sherry 30 mL | ||
Directions
Wash mushrooms and detach stems from caps.
Melt butter in a skillet over medium heat.
Add stems and onion.
Stir fry for 1 minute.
Add caps and continue cooking 2 minutes.
Remove mushrooms from skillet.
Stir in flour, salt and pepper.
Add milk gradually and cook until thick, then stir in the chicken broth and remaining ingredients.
Add mushrooms and taste for seasoning.
Spoon into patty shells or serve over toast points.
