Mushrooms Italian Style Recipe
Ingredients
| Water | 1/4 Cup (16 tbs) | |
| Lemon juice | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Sunflower oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Tamari | 2 Teaspoon | |
| Thyme | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Basil | 1/2 Teaspoon | |
| Garlic | 1 Clove (5gm), minced | |
| Mushrooms-5 cups (1.25 I)-sliced to make about 1 pound [450 g] | ||
| Fresh parsley-1 tablespoon (15 ml)-minced | ||
Directions
GETTING READY
1. In a saucepan, tip in water, lemon juice, oil, tamari, thyme, basil and garlic and mix well
2. Add mushrooms to the pan, stir and cover
MAKING
3. Cook the mixture till the mushrooms are tender and water starts to evaporate. This will take about 20 minutes.
4. Add parsley to the pan in the last few minutes of the cooking process.
SERVING
5. Serve over chicken or poached fish
