Mushroom-Nut Canapes Recipe

Ingredients
1 3-oz. can chopped mushrooms
1 cup shelled Brazil nuts, about 4 oz.
1 3-oz. package cream cheese
1 tablespoon grated or finely minced onion
Dash salt and pepper
Few drops Tabasco
Directions
Drain mushrooms, reserving broth for other use.
Put drained mushrooms and nuts through a food chopper.
Soften cream cheese at room temperature.
Add onion, salt and pepper, and Tabasco.
Blend well.
Add ground mushrooms and nuts.
Mix lightly but thoroughly.
Spread on small circles and rectangles of bread.
