Mushroom Steak Topper Recipe
The mushroom steak topper is a cooked mushroom ropping recipe for serving atop steaks. Floured and cooked in butter, this mushroom steak topper is seasoned and served warm.
Ingredients
1/2 pound mushrooms
Enriched flour
3 tablespoons butter or margarine
1/2 teaspoon soy sauce
Salt and pepper
Directions
Wash the mushrooms in small amount of water; don't soak or peel.
Cut off tip of stem.
Leave mushrooms whole or slice.
Sprinkle lightly with flour.
Cook, covered, in butter over low heat till tender, about 8 to 10 minutes, turning occasionally.
Add soy sauce and season with salt and pepper to taste.
