Ingredients

 
Mushrooms - 2 pounds
 
Onions - 1 cup, chopped
 
Garlic cloves - 2, minced
 
Turmeric - 1 teaspoon
 
Chili peppers - 1/4 teaspoon, dried, ground
 
Salt - 1 1/2 teaspoons
 
Oil - 3 tablespoons
 
Onion - 1, thinly sliced
 
Lime or lemon juice - 2 tablespoons

Directions

GETTING READY
1) Rinse the mushrooms, drain thoroughly and cut into quarters.
2) Grind or mince the chopped onions, garlic, turmeric, chili peppers and salt together into a paste.

MAKING
3) In a skillet, saute the spice mixture, mushrooms and sliced onion in the oil for 10 minutes, stirring occasionally.
4) Drizzle over the lime or lemon juice, mix thoroughly.

SERVING
5) Serve immediately on individual serving plates.
