Mushroom Chicken Shangri La Recipe
Ingredients
| Chicken - 2 pounds, cut into 1 1/2-inch pieces | ||
| Cooking oil | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Cornstarch | 1 Tablespoon | |
| Mushrooms | 6 Medium, dried | |
| Chinese red prunes - 4 medium, pitted and sliced | ||
| Green - 2 tablespoons onions, chopped | ||
| Ginger piece | 1 | |
| Chinese oyster sauce - 1 teaspoon | ||
| Soy sauce | 3 Tablespoon (Marinade:) | |
| Ginger piece | 1 (Marinade:) | |
| Monosodium glutamate | 1/2 Teaspoon (Marinade:) | |
| Whiskey | 3 Drop (Marinade:) | |
Directions
MAKING
1. With oil and cornstarch rub chicken to coat completely and add mushrooms, prunes, green onions, ginger and oyster sauce.
2. In a bowl combine marinade ingredients and mix with chicken mixture.
3. Marinate overnight and steam the mixture 45 minutes or until done.
SERVING
4. Garnish with Chinese parsley and serve.
