Multipurpose Mix Recipe
this multipurpose mix can be used for any baking need of yours, be it for a cake, muffin ,bread or biscuit. Just add the extra ingredient for a special recipe to this multipurpose mix and you'll have an oven fresh bake of choice in no time.
Ingredients
| All purpose flour | 10 Cup (160 tbs) | |
| Granulated sugar | 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) | |
| Baking powder | 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs) | |
| Salt | 15 Milliliter | |
| Shortening | 2 Cup (32 tbs) |
Directions
In a large bowl, combine flour, sugar, baking powder and salt, mixing well.
With a pastry blender or 2 knives, cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs.
Store in an airtight container in a cool, dry place for up to 3 months.
Makes about 13 cups (3.25 L).
VARIATION :
Whole-Wheat Multipurpose Mix: Use 5 cups (1.25 L) all-purpose flour and 5 cups (1.25 L) whole-wheat flour.
