It was a cold sunday morning when some of us friends were visiting Chef Vikas at his restaurant (tandoor palace) on Fulton Street and Broadway. We were discussing ideas for a series recipe videos that Vikas could to for ifood.tv. After a long brainstorming session, the master chef, seeing us feeling a little cold and hungry decided to treat us to some nourishing and heart warming soup! But what did he know that as he walked into his restaurants kitchen (which was closed given it was a sunday), we would setup ourselves to shoot him cook impromptu and in the daily setting of his restuarant. Ok, i know there are a lof of videos of folks making food in "decked up" kitchens, but for a change it would be fun to capture a master chef do his job in his natural and at times "messy" setting.
So the result is this great recipe video of Mulligatwany soup. Enjoy! We certainly had a warm sunday after drinking this classic indian soup.
