Mrs Beeton'S White Cucumber Sauce Recipe
Ingredients
| Cucumber- 1, peeled, de-seeded and diced | ||
| Butter | 2 Ounce | |
| Plain flour | 1 1/2 Tablespoon | |
| Lemon juice or vinegar- to taste | ||
| Salt | To Taste | |
| Pepper | To Taste | |
Directions
MAKING
1. In a saucepan, pour the water and then place the cucumber, simmer it for 15 minutes, till the cucumbers become tender
2. Pour the cucmber in a strainer and sieve it, keep the cooking liquid aside, it should measure upto 1/2 pint
3. Use the cooking liquid to prepare the white sauce with butter, and then add the cooked cucumber to the sauce
4. Season to taste
SERVING
5. Serve with any meat of your choice
