Mozzarella Crumb Bake Recipe
Ingredients
2 cups Italian-flavored bread crumbs
16 ounces mozzarella cheese, shredded (4 cups)
1 teaspoon salt
1/3 teaspoon pepper
3 eggs, beaten
1 1/2 cups warm milk
2 cups favorite spaghetti sauce, heated
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Directions
Spread 1 cup of the bread crumbs in a buttered 8x8 inch baking pan.
Combine the mozzarella cheese, salt and pepper in a bowl; mix well.
Layer the cheese mixture and remaining bread crumbs 1/2 at a time over the first bread crumb layer.
Combine the eggs and milk in a mixing bowl; beat until smooth.
Pour the egg mixture evenly over the layered cheese and bread crumbs.
Bake at 350 degrees for 40 minutes or until lightly browned and set.
Pour the hot spaghetti sauce evenly over the top.
Sprinkle with Parmesan cheese and serve.
