Moringa Soup Recipe Video

Moringa or (Malunggay) is one of the richest sources of nutrients that is essential to the body. Some called Moringa as “Healing Tree” because in ancient times – even up to now, you can use the leaves to cure wounds by patting squeezed leaves to it. Moringa is a good source of Vitamin A, Calcium, Potassium, Protein and Vitamin C. There are different variations on how to cook moringa soup. Some prefer to add corn and some add green papaya or chayote. This recipe that we have is a simple way on how to make moringa soup added with chicken and spices to make the taste better.

Directions

MAKING
1. In a kettle pour water. Add the chicken, onions, ginger, salt and pepper. Bring to boil and simmer for 30 minutes.
2. Add the moringa leaves and cook for 1 minute. Do not overcook the leaves to preserve the nutrients.

SERVING
3. In a serving bowl, serve the soup hot with some crispy bread or chips.
