 Butter1 Pound
 Granulated Sugar3 Cup (16 tbs)
 Eggs5
 Sweet cream1 Cup (16 tbs)
 Vanilla1 Tablespoon
 Nutmeg, generously
 1 teaspoon soda dissolved in hot water
 Enough flour to make a stiff dough

Directions

Cream butter with sugar, add eggs, cream, soda, and flour.
Add nutmeg and vanilla.
Make into roll, keep in icebox for several days and roll very thin.
Cut into cookies, bake.
