Directions
Brown steak in shortening in ovenproof skillet.
Drain syrup from pineapple; add enough water to syrup to make 1 1/2 cups liquid.
Add onion soup mix to liquid.
Pour over steak; cover.
Bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 30 minutes or until steak is tender.
Place pineapple over steak.
Combine cornstarch with small amount of hot liquid from skillet; return to remaining hot liquid.
Simmer, stirring until clear and thick.
Garnish steak with green pepper and tomato wedges if desired.
