Moong Recipe

Moong recipe is very precious to me because it was passed on to me by my mom. Beans is one of the few ingredients I like to include in my daily cooking and this is my comfort recipe that I usually prepare using it. Moong as a Side Dish never fails to impress. The Indian people couldn't have come up with a better dish than this Moong, specially when it comes to culinary creativity. Will you be able to suggest a recipe on par with this Moong recipe? I doubt.

Ingredients

 
1 cup moong
 
1 teaspoon salt
 
2 tablespoons ghee
 
1/2 teaspoon turmeric
 
1 ginger, chopped
 
8 curry leaves
 
1 green chilli, chopped

Directions

Soak the moong in water.
Boil six cups of water and put in the moong.
When it is nearly cooked, add all the other ingredients, and continue cooking on a moderate fire, till the moong is quite tender.
